Victor and Helga Pinones and the fabulous Giammalva Racquet Club are hosting our 14th annual charity tournament on Saturday, November 15. Are you ready for a beautiful fall day full of good tennis, good food, good friends, and good fun, all for for a very, very good cause? All proceeds will benefit the Texas Children’s Hospital Cancer Center and the Houston Chapter of the American Heart Association.

For our 14th year the tournament is once again presented thanks to Ocean Edge Services and TechipFMC, and supported by our amazing sponsors.
Since its inception in 2011, the Tennis with a Heart charity tournament has grown to become an autumn milestone on the Houston area tennis calendar and has—thanks to our presenters, sponsors, volunteers, team captains, and players—raised over $414,000 for nonprofit organizations vital to Houstonians’ health and well-being.
The tournament will start bright and early Saturday, November 15, at the Giammalva Racquet Club in northwest Houston. The format is a fun, quick-paced, and simplified combination of World Team Tennis and USTA League formats with team matches consisting of one line each of men’s and women’s doubles, plus two lines of mixed doubles. We always work to ensure that every team will play a minimum of 12 individual matches.
Teams will compete in NTRP 3.5, 4.0, and Open divisions. Breakfast and lunch will be served, with refreshments and hydration provided all day long. You’ll get to play plenty of tennis, have a lot of fun in great Houston November weather, see old friends, and make new ones. All participating players will receive the now-famous and collectible tournament T-shirt, and there will be trophies for all the players on each winning team.
Best of all, all proceeds from Tennis with a Heart go to fund the important work of the Texas Children’s Hospital Cancer Center and the Houston Chapter of the American Heart Association. No administrative or personnel fees are collected from the event. We’re all volunteers. Our sponsorships and tournament fees cover direct expenses only, with every remaining dime going to our charities.
